Hi, my name is Sophie Retton. In the softball world, they call me “Ret”. I will be a junior at Aurora High School in Aurora, OH in the fall of 2023. I play for the Ohio Stingrays ’07 and my coach is Chris Back. I have three older siblings who all played baseball or softball. I was born with a ball in my hand. I remember going to their games when I was little and could not wait for my chance to play.

My goal is to go to college and play softball. It has been a dream of mine since I can remember. I love the thought of being a student-athlete and making new friends and new memories in college.

I am not certain of a major. I would like to do something that allows me to continue to give back to the softball world. I have interests in training, coaching and possibly physical therapy.
